Roadmap To A $Billion Dollar One-Person Business
My long term vision is to create a one-person entertainment studio. I want to create fantasy worlds and beloved characters, and turn them into books, toys, games, and animated feature films; kinda like a mini-Disney or an American Studio Ghibli. I want to do this because…
I want to positively impact the world through storytelling.
I really want to help improve people’s mental health and do what I can to combat the growing trends of division and cynicism in our culture. I believe that STORY is going to be the best way to do that.
So then why is the goal $1B?
Well, because impact is hard to measure. I look at it like this: the only way to reach a $1B valuation is if the company owns stories & characters that are loved by millions and millions of people. So in this sense, if I have a $1B company, then it means I have achieved my goal of making a positive difference in the world; money is a proxy metric for measuring impact.
Below is the plan at a high level. Each step, I’ll be learning new things and passing those lessons along to you in my weekly newsletter.

Roadmap to $1 Billion:
Mission 1: Build my personal brand
➤ An essential first step, I need to learn exactly what it takes to build a meaningful brand online in the modern world.
Mission 2: Launch personal products
➤ Once I crack the code on growth, then I can package and teach what I learned to you so we can all benefit. Then I’ll use the funds from these products to develop the first story-world franchise.
Mission 3: Develop the first storyworld franchise
➤ This is where the fun starts! I will need to learn about world building, character development and so much more. I can’t wait!
Mission 4: Grow the first storyworld’s social media following
➤ This is the start of community building. I’ll be taking what was learned during Mission 1 and applying it to this new storyworld franchise to grow awareness and start developing a relationship with fans.
Mission 5: Launch storyworld products
➤ Now I can use what I know about product development (both digital & physical) to create fun products. I’ll need to learn more about licensing my IP and partnering with others here. But most importantly, I’ll need to master storytelling - because without a good story, I’ll have no chance.
Mission 6: Grow / Start again
➤ At this point I’ll have a sense if people really love the first storyworld (and therefore I should continue growing it), or if I should shift my focus to developing a new storyworld franchise.
Mission 7: Make a movie
➤ A successful feature film in theaters is one of the best ways to truly impact culture. So getting here is one of the most important goals!
Mission 8: Do it again!
➤ Keep creating stuff, forever! This is so much fun, why stop now?
